Age Limit for Army 56 NCC Special Entry Scheme :
If you’re interested in joining the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and you’re the child of someone who was a casualty in battle, you should be between 19 and 25 years old as of July 1, 2024. Your birthdate should fall between July 2, 1999, and July 1, 2005.

Educational Qualification for Army NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2024 :
For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:
(a) A degree from a recognized University or its equivalent with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks, considering marks from all the years. Candidates in their final year are also eligible, provided they have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four-year degree courses, respectively.
(b) Should have served for a minimum of 03 academic years in the senior Division/Wing of NCC.
(c) Should have obtained a minimum of a ‘B’ Grade in the ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.
For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel:
(a) A degree from a recognized University or its equivalent with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks, considering marks from all the years.
(b) Should be wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters, including legally adopted) of Battle casualties specified as:- Killed in action/Died of wounds or injuries (Other than self-inflicted)/Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted)/Missing.
(c) NCC ‘C’ certificate is not required for Wards of Battle Casualties.
Selection Process for Indian Army 56 NCC Special Entry Scheme :
The selection process involves initial shortlisting by the Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, followed by two stages of the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview and a medical examination. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of their interview dates, and those who pass both interview stages and meet medical standards will be recommended for selection based on merit.
Travel allowances are provided for first-time candidates, and the final merit list determines candidates eligible for joining Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai. Personal restrictions may apply as per the Constitution of India, and requests for changing interview dates/centres are not entertained.
Any false information leads to candidature cancellation, and candidates must not have been debarred from any UPSC examination.

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of the Indian Army — www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (See the Application form’s link given below).
Upon successful submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND PRINT-OUT/HARD COPIES OR DOCUMENTS TO THE INDIAN ARMY AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
