The British Council pursues a range of cultural and educational opportunities internationally. Recently, various grants or grants have been announced for industry-academia partnership between India and England under the British Council’s Going Global Partnership (GGP) programme. 12 new grants and 2 top-up grants totaling more than £500,000. The grant was announced recently at an India-England Higher Education Conference held in New Delhi.
Internationalization of higher education was discussed in the conference. The delegation of the conference emphasized on the development of cooperative relations between India and England in the field of scientific research and innovation. Apart from this, the purpose of this conference is to develop more partnerships in the field of higher education between the two countries in line with the National Education Policy, India-England Roadmap 2030 and G-20 summit declaration.
British Council Academic Grants 2023 Details:
A total of 70 grants totaling two million pounds have been announced to 155 universities under the Going Global Partnership (GGP) program over the last three years. These include 100 universities in India and 55 in England. Of the 36 new programs announced, six will be in Climate Studies and Sustainability.
According to the survey, the number of students enrolled under the Going Global Partnership (GGP) program increased from 9,050 to 12,000 in the academic year 2021-22.
