The concerned school authorities have to confirm how the students of Central Kolkata de-validated schools will appear for the board examination. Calcutta High Court Judge Biswajit Bose gave this order on Thursday. He said on this day, the school authorities will be responsible if there is any problem of the students in the future. The Ripon Street school authorities will have to give an affidavit to the court regarding what arrangements will be made to place the students in the board exams. The next hearing of the case is on October 4.
Justice Bose had appointed the Center’s Deputy Solicitor General Bilbadal Bhattacharya as a special officer in the earlier hearing on the school’s issue. He was asked to examine the school records and give a report. On this day, the special officer accused the school authorities of trying to bribe the school authorities. He said that the bribe was asked for not giving a report against the school. He was not allowed to see the school register. The special officer also said that he will donate the remuneration decided by the court in this case to the Ramakrishna Mission.

The lawyer of the school has accepted the talk about bribing the officer. He said that two teachers said that bribing the special officer would not be a problem. At the same time, the lawyer of the school claimed that he contradicted the words of the two teachers and said that this special officer does not condone any injustice. Expressing anger at the role of the school authorities, the judge said, “You did not allow the special officer to see even the register. What are you trying to hide?”
The litigating parents complained that the CISCE board canceled the validity of the school in May last year. The school authorities hid that information. This year, students of class 10 are in trouble while giving exams. Incidentally, the house in which the school is located, came up in the court’s question and answer as illegal in the municipal register. On this day, the lawyer of the school said that all the documents are in the warehouse. Since the validity was canceled last year, a fresh application has been made. The school’s new home is legal. As the municipality is involved in this case, the judge has ordered to add them to the case as well.
