There are two job openings at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Port (formerly Kolkata Port Trust) in Kolkata. The same was informed through two separate notifications on the port’s website. Candidates will be recruited on contract basis in both the departments. For this, applications will be accepted offline. That process has started.
Recruitment will be in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Marine Operations Department. Recruitment will be done in respective departments as Diving Officer and Port Diving Officer. There are two vacancies in total. which is subject to change. Diving Officers and Port Diving Officers will be appointed for Kolkata Dock System and Haldia Dock System respectively. Diving Officers and Port Diving Officers will be appointed on contract basis for two years and three years respectively. Candidates should be maximum age of 45 years to apply for both the posts. Remuneration for the post of Diving Officer and Port Diving Officer will be Rs 45,000 and Rs 46,500 per month respectively. Apart from this, other facilities will be available.

Selected candidates will be recruited through Skill Test/Written Test/Interview to the posts as decided by Port Trust.
